Our history
Michael Burcz has been working with wheels and hubcaps since he was 11 years old, following dad Walter around to watch, learn, and have fun. He became such a part of the store at this early age that by 14, he was being interviewed by local TV stations and newspapers for his part in the business.
Mike still believes in providing local customer service and expert advice, and he personally oversees all parts of the company's operation. Mike and his team ensure that each customer, whether commercial or retail, gets the full attention they deserve. We have a family-friendly showroom that is highlighted by our extensive license plate collection.
We also have an experienced staff and on-site technicians that ensure quality repair work and service delivery. Plus, we've become such a part of the extended auto community that all you have to do is mention Mike over at the 4-A, and everyone will know that you are in Hubcap Heaven.
The Beginning of Our Company
AAAA Hubcap Heaven started with Walter Burcz, who used to see hubcaps beside the highway, pick them up, and then sell them. Once he realized there was money in the hobby, Walter started collecting any and all types of hubcaps and storing them first in the basement of his house, then in a lot in Manayunk. From these origins, AAAA Hubcap Heaven was started.
In the early years, Walter and Mike worked together and became the best known hubcap dealers in the area. Eventually, their story was picked up by the local TV stations and newspapers, giving them free advertising that brought our business to the attention of the general public-and let the public in on the auto shop secret that the Burcz family's company was the best hubcap shop around.
Moving On Up
In the late 1980s, AAAA Hubcap Heaven became famous when a national business magazine picked up the story and ran with it. Then, Christian Brothers®, through their "unusual job success" advertising campaign, published a brandy ad that featured none other than Mike Burcz. The ad's text read, "Hubcap king Mike Burcz turns chrome into gold. He also prefers Christian Brothers Brandy."
With the ad mentioning AAAA Hupcap Heaven in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, an international reputation was formed that brought us calls from across the United States and beyond, including England, New Zealand, Germany, Australia, and Norway.
